Classic Old Shale Scarf- Kit

“Old Shale” is a truly historic Scottish Shetland pattern. The exquisite texture of this scarf looks difficult, however it is very simple- three rows of knit and purl, and one row with decreases, increases, and yarn overs. The knitting is quick and easy, and adaptable to any width with a multiple of 18 stitches. The shawl has borders that are worked on each side throughout the shawl in garter stitch. This version is done in Harbor Yarn’s classic worsted, kettle dyed Tidal Line- shown is the High Tide shade.
